The five-year, $230 million fully guaranteed contract 31-year-old quarterback Deshaun Watson signed with the Cleveland Browns is shaping up to be one of the worst contracts in sports history.
Watson’s wife, Gilly Anais, certainly isn’t complaining. That opened the door for her to get a huge wedding ring, which she posted on Instagram ahead of Thursday’s Browns football game against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Jilly Anais Watson (a former Sports Illustrated swimsuit model) posted a photo of herself at a recent Browns home game, wearing a Watson jersey, light blue jeans, a brown bag, and a giant rock on her ring finger.
This custom-made wedding ring is the same as the one Deshawn and his wife received when they tied the knot in the summer of 2025.
The two rings combined weigh more than 50 carats. DeShawn’s band is estimated to be worth between $1.1 million and $1.3 million, while his wife’s band is estimated to be worth between $500,000 and $650,000.
To be fair, Jilly Anais received over $2 million in engagement rings from Watson, so he didn’t save all the wedding ring money to buy his own ring.
Watson’s time in Cleveland was rocky to say the least, and many fans before the season wondered if he was worth the price tag not only because of his performance but also because of his off-field issues. Watson faced multiple civil lawsuits in 2021 alleging sexual misconduct and sexual assault against the Browns quarterback during massage appointments.
Watson was never criminally charged and settled most of the civil lawsuit in 2022, with the remainder dismissed with prejudice earlier this year.
Browns fans are more focused on Watson possibly winning a Super Bowl ring for their team. However, even though he performed better this season than most expected, getting a Super Bowl ring is still wishful thinking.
