The Philadelphia Eagles lost 24-20 at home to the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday, which also included losing Saquon Barkley to an early injury.
In the first quarter of the game, Barkley injured his hamstring while sprinting six yards to the left. He limped to the sideline and was evaluated by medical staff but did not return to the game.
Tank Bigsby and Will Shipley handled running back duties, with Bisby rushing for 55 yards on 14 carries and Shipley rushing for 23 yards on six carries. The Eagles scored most of their scoring in the second quarter, with quarterback Jalen Hurts finding Darius Cooper for two touchdowns.
They then went scoreless in the second half before Matthew Stafford and the Rams scored two touchdowns in the final quarter to win the game.

Good news came from the Eagles on Monday night regarding Barkley’s hamstring injury. According to NFL insiders Ian Rapoport Mike Garafolo said that “Barkley is considered a week-to-week injury” and that it is “not considered a long-term injury.”
Barkley has rushed 36 times for 182 yards this season, but has yet to score a touchdown. Losing him for much of the season would be a problem, as he has been a vital part of the team’s offense since signing with Philadelphia in 2024.
He has played 16 games in each of the past two seasons, including a career-high 2,001 rushing yards and 13 touchdowns in 2024. The Eagles eventually won the Super Bowl, but the team never seemed to be close to the same level from that point on.
So far this season, the Eagles have a poor record, with a record of 2 wins and 2 losses. They beat the Washington Commanders and Tennessee Titans, two teams that have also struggled to win. Since then, Philadelphia has lost to the Chicago Bears and Rams.
Things likely won’t get much easier as they head to Jacksonville to take on Trevor Lawrence and the Jaguars in Week 5. Lawrence and his teammates defeated the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday to improve to 3-1 on the season.
