CNN Tapper: House Democrats don’t have ‘coherent legislative plan’ if they win majority

On Tuesday’s episode of CNN’s “The Lead,” host Jake Tapper said House Democrats “haven’t come up with any cohesive plan on how to legislate” if they win the House in the midterm elections.

Speaking with Rep. Don Davis (D-NC), Tapper said, “So, House Democrats as a whole haven’t come up with any cohesive plan on how you’re going to legislate if you do win the House, which a lot of people think is likely to happen. What do you think is the No. 1 legislative priority? Knowing you’re going to have to get President Trump to veto it or sign it, what’s the point of getting it done?”

Davis responded, “I’ve been – starting to listen to all sides, whether they’re Republicans or Democrats, on affordability costs and, as I said, survival. If you’re a seventh-generation farmer and you’re wondering now if you can keep that farm, that family farm going, that’s the problem. We can’t lose focus. Every single one of us should show up in the 120th Congress focused on helping address costs.”
