In the same period last year, the company had posted a net profit of ₹3,926 crore.

Weekly Rupee View: Profits remain limited

The rupee depreciated by 19 paise against the dollar over the past week and ended at 95.12 on Tuesday. This was weighed down by recent strength in the greenback and rising crude oil prices. However, foreign portfolio flows provide some support for the local currency.

Foreign flows remained positive for the second week in a row. According to NSDL data, net FPI inflows were about $510 million during the past week, bringing the cumulative net outflows in October down to about $3.8 billion. Read more
