Shree Digvijay Cement swings to loss in Q2 FY27 as costs surge
Shree Digvijay Cement Company Limited reported a net loss of ₹1,627 lakh for the quarter ended 30 September 2026, a sharp reversal from a profit of ₹1,023 lakh in the same quarter last year, according to a press release signed by CEO and Managing Director Amit Arora on 23 October 2026.
Revenue from operations rose 73% year-on-year to ₹27,931 lakh from ₹16,135 lakh, driven largely by higher sales volumes. The company sold 5.10 lakh tonnes of cement in Q2, up from 2.96 lakh tonnes a year earlier. A portion of this volume — 212,549 MT — came from sales under a Brand Usage, Supply and Distributorship Agreement (BDA) with Hi-Bond Cement (India) Private Limited, for which there were no comparable sales in the prior-year quarter.
Despite the revenue jump, profitability collapsed. EBITDA turned negative at ₹130 lakh compared to a positive ₹2,048 lakh in Q2 FY26, with EBITDA per tonne falling to a loss of ₹26 from a gain of ₹692. The company attributed the deterioration to geopolitical uncertainty disrupting global supply chains, which drove up input and logistics costs — particularly for fuel, packaging, and freight. An annual plant shutdown during the quarter added further pressure.
For the six months ended 30 September 2026, revenue stood at ₹61,658 lakh against ₹35,729 lakh in the prior period, but the company posted a pre-tax loss of ₹1,291 lakh versus a profit of ₹3,217 lakh previously.
Management said the plant is now ready to meet higher demand following the shutdown and pointed to renewable energy expansion and a growing blended cement portfolio as levers for future margin recovery. The company maintained a confident stance on long-term prospects, citing its distribution network and supply chain capabilities.

SKM Egg Products board approves merger with subsidiary, reports Q2 results

Under the scheme, SKM Universal Marketing Company (India) Private Limited will be the transferor company, and SKM Egg Products Export (India) Limited will be the transferee company.
