A family of four lives in their car full-time, traveling and paying off debt at the same time

Rosie said it’s important to her and her husband that their children feel comfortable with RV life, especially as they grow older.

“I know a lot of people have different opinions on this, but I think your kids should want to live this lifestyle too,” she said. “We do check in with my kids a lot. We’ll ask, ‘Are you ready to stop and stay?’ But they all say, ‘No, this is the best thing ever. We want to travel.'”

They will continue to monitor how their children are doing, but Rosie said it’s empowering to know that their unconventional lifestyle makes her children happy.

“Sometimes it’s easy as a parent to feel like you have to make your life look like everyone else’s in order to give your children the childhood you think they deserve,” she said. “For us, we find that our kids are happier just being with us and experiencing things with us than anything else.”

At some point, they may no longer live on the road. For now, though, they’re happy to continue their adventure.

“As long as our kids are happy and we’re working toward our goals, we’d rather meet our financial goals first and think about it later [moving into a house],” Ross got.
