In a statement to the media, far-left Gov. Gavin Newsom called for invoking the 25th Amendment to remove President Donald Trump from office.
After Trump made comments about Los Angeles and San Diego earlier this week, Newsom called the president “mentally ill.”
“Donald Trump suffers from mental illness. The 25th is here!” Newsom said in a statement, according to Fox News.
Newsom’s latest attack on Trump came at a rally in Nebraska, where clips of the president’s speech went viral, suggesting he said the Iranian regime could destroy a city.
“They can take a city. Let them take — let them take Los Angeles. Let them take San Diego. It’s a very small price to pay and it’ll be over quickly. It’s basically over and they’ll probably keep going,” Breitbart News reported Tuesday.
The full context of Trump’s remarks refutes the edited version.
Breitbart News continues to report:
However, many claim these remarks were taken out of context, with Trump saying that high oil prices were a small price to pay for peace and explaining that a nuclear-armed Iran would be able to destroy Los Angeles or San Diego. He then returned to his earlier remarks that natural gas prices were a “small price to pay” — no Allow Iran to destroy two American cities.
Trump’s rapid response account also tried to set the record straight.
“No he didn’t, you clowns,” came the quick response. Los Angeles Times The headline said Trump suggested allowing Iran to destroy these cities. “He said the United States is working to prevent Iran from having the ability to nukes Los Angeles and San Diego — which they would do if given the chance,” it continued.
The comments were widely published by Democrats and corporate media, despite attempts by the White House to add context.
in ABC’s landscape Co-host Sunny Hostin claims President Donald Trump is “unhinged” so it might be time to consider removing him via the 25th Amendment.
X Newsom wrote in a post, “After sending National Guardsmen and Marines to occupy California, Donald Trump now says our foreign enemies should ‘occupy’ Los Angeles and San Diego. He is deranged and dangerous.”
Then, apparently naming Vice President JD Vance and Secretary of State Marco Rubio, he added: “The silence from JD Vance and Marco Rubio today is deafening.”
Fox News reports that this is not the first time Newsom has called for the use of the 25th Amendment against the president. The media said that in July, California’s governor said Trump’s election integrity speech represented a “legitimate 25th Amendment moment” and described it as “the ramblings of a mad king.”
