Brian Burns fears torn ACL in another huge Giants game

The Giants have now lost perhaps their most important offensive player and best defensive player to injuries in consecutive weeks.

Star rusher Brian Burns may have suffered a torn ACL in Sunday’s 12-7 win over the Titans, ESPN reported.

Burns was available after suffering an ankle sprain in Week 2, but he went down early in the fourth quarter against the Titans and did not return to the game.

“There’s some hope,” Giants coach John Harbaugh said, “but we won’t know until we see the MRI.”

The injury comes a week after Giants quarterback Jackson Dart was sidelined for the season with an injury to his left knee, including the ACL and ACL.
