Undercover footage obtained by Breitbart News shows another Ohio Democratic field organizer comparing the defeat of former Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban to the need to defeat the state’s Republican Party.
Just a day earlier, Breitbart News reported that field staff encouraged volunteers to say being gay or female made them “social victims,” and two organizers giggled over items they had stolen from the store.
The video shows a conversation with OhioWins field organizer Zoie Smith, who compared the ouster of Hungary’s “authoritarian leader” Viktor Orban to that of President Trump.
OhioWins is the Ohio Democratic Party’s primary on-the-ground program assisting federal and state candidates.
Smith described Orban as a “dictator and a bad guy” who was despised in inner-city neighborhoods but supported by “rural Hungarians.” They claim Orban is an “authoritarian leader who has been in power for decades, which is basically like stealing the election and denying the popular vote”.
She continued, “I feel like these are very similar to the Trump and MAGA movements in the United States. Your cities, your blue states, are firmly saying, ‘We hate Trump. We need to get him out of here. He’s a dictator in the making.'” In Hungary, we need our blue areas to show up and actually vote, and that’s what we have in Ohio. “
Ironically, Democrats are trying to do the same thing to Trump that the Hungarian government under Peter Magyar did to Orban — trying to ban him from holding public office and sending overzealous prosecutors to investigate him and his supporters.
Smith concluded: “Sherrod Brown’s path to victory was a turnout of over 75 percent in some of the densest, bluest precincts, precincts and districts in Ohio. It’s been done. It’s been done overseas. It’s been done in other states. How can we emulate that?”
