The kindergartner killed in a horrific school shooting in Oregon was planning to dress up as a bunny for Halloween, his grieving parents have revealed.
Five-year-old Rhoam Summer wanted to go pumpkin picking, and before his life was brutally cut short in Thursday’s massacre at Silver Tracks Elementary School in Bend, Ore., he had already chosen the character he wanted to dress up as for the fall holidays.
Roma’s grieving parents Kelik and Lillian Sommer paid tribute to their son, who was “very kind, loved to dance and loved to help” others.
“He wanted to bring the brightest light to the world. He was very hard on himself when he knew he had fallen,” they said.
“We could not have wished for a better child and everyone in his home, family and circle of friends can’t wait to see how he grows.”
Summer and two other children, ages 8 and 11, were killed in a mass shooting when 16-year-old Griffin John attacked the school’s special education classroom.
John’s rampage is halted when he is shot by his heroic father, who follows John into the building and shoots him dead.
