Hollywood is increasingly interested in taking Western ideas and destroying them. The latest example is “The Chronicles of Narnia: The Magician’s Nephew.
We created an entire company to fight this problem, and we promised we would beat Hollywood on its own terms. As a company, we are committed to the proposition that our civilization deserves to be defended in all its aspects, including the arts.
Now, obviously, we can’t beat Hollywood on the budget.
But you know what we can do?
We can create great, extraordinary content that challenges the best in Hollywood.
We are doing this now.
Our new movie”repent,” tackles the deepest questions we ask and answers them in fact-based ways.
Character-driven, intelligent and serious, this film raises some real questions, such as: What values should we live by as humans? What does it mean to sacrifice for these values? How do we confront the tyrannical forces that seek to erase freedom and meaning?
From the reception to the trailer, we already know: people are hungry for this kind of content.
How do we know this?
Currently, there are more trailers for our movie than The Chronicles of Narnia released on the Netflix account. They have 24 million followers. We published “repent” Trailers on my account and The Daily Telegraph’s account, which together account for about half of Netflix’s total views.
More people watched our trailer than watched ““The Chronicles of Narnia” Trailer, this is crazy.
Just for good measure, “Baywatch” also dropped their trailer yesterday. They had sexy beauties running around in bathing suits, and we almost doubled the ratings for their trailer. People were more interested in a serious look at Soviet tyranny, human freedom, and the value of God in our lives than in a movie about sexy beauties in bathing suits. This means people are hungry for meaningful content. They want meaningful property.
We were honored to work with so many incredibly talented people, and the end result is an incredible film. Directed by Vaclav Mahor; he had previously done “painted bird”, nominee for the Venice Golden Lion. He is a true artist.
The cast of our film is amazing. These include six-time Golden Globe and Emmy nominee Rob Lowe, who has excelled in his career; Oscar nominees James Franco, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Kody Smit-McPhee and Brad Dourif; and three-time Oscar nominee Nick Nolte.
We have real artists with amazing skills who are making this movie because it’s awesome.
Rob Lowe told deadline hollywood, “It’s an incredible story about the human spirit and its survival among those who would destroy it,” Mahul said. “This film was really a huge challenge for me from a director’s perspective. I ventured into a genre I’d never explored before: an intimate, dialogue-driven psychodrama set in a single location.”
Now this is news. The film premieres at the Warsaw Film Festival on Thursday. It’s a huge honor, and then we’re going to do a one-night screening in 100 theaters across the country. This report will be published in the Daily Telegraph on November 11.
We wanted to do some top-notch filmmaking, not just on a mission to deliver a message, but to make a great movie.
Why is all this important? Because our culture craves a fundamental defense of Western values and art that reflects the serious issues we all face.
That doesn’t mean every film we make at The Telegraph will be a serious drama. We want to work on winning culture in every aspect. Sometimes we just want to make a fun action movie, like “Run and Hide Combat: Heretics”.
So why write a film about the Stalin era?
Because we have now reached a stage in American history where people do not remember how terrible our enemies in the world are and have been.
Let’s say you want to destroy the United States in favor of one of these systems. You will do several things. First, you make people forget about God. Secondly, by corollary, you make people forget about the individual. This is exactly what the Soviet Union was trying to do.
The reality is that members of the American left have taken off their masks. While the Soviet Union existed, there were some members of the left who were openly sympathetic to the Soviet Union.
The New York Times covered up the genocide in Ukraine, an event that left five to eight million people starving. They covered it up because they sympathized with Stalin.
But now people Don’t even play this. Zohran Mamdani was sympathetic to full-scale communism. Abdul Rahman Syed and Bernie Sanders sympathized with the same thing.
They don’t hide the ball anymore. The Democratic Socialists of America released an image with a red fist, deliberately mimicking Soviet-era workers. According to Stu Smith of the Manhattan Institute, nearly half of the members of the DSA leadership were communists. In a December 2025 newsletter, members of the Red Star Caucus celebrated Mao Zedong’s 132nd birthday. Hassan Peake, dressed as Mao Zedong, says his American dream is the Soviet Republic of America
The Democratic Party is co-opting this stuff on a massive scale and pretending the Soviets were fine.
Communism is still alive and well in the West.
This is an important reason why we must remind people of what the reality of communism was and is.
