The Hull and Humber Chamber of Commerce joins forces with the Norwegian British Chamber of Commerce (NBCC) to bring even to the Humber region
A new business conference is coming to Hull in international cooperation. Hull and Humber Chamber of Commerce is joining forces with the Norwegian British Chamber of Commerce (NBCC) to bring the Energy Future Conference 2026 to the Humber region this month.
The theme of the conference – The North Sea: From Vision to Value – will shed light on how the sea is transforming into a shared industrial ecosystem, connecting the UK and Norway through hydrogen trade, CO2 transport, offshore wind and maritime logistics. The event will explore how the various elements interact across borders and industries, and what it takes for the ecosystem to work effectively in practice, with many leading businesses confirmed to be participating.
The event will see a large delegation of Norwegian business leaders arrive in the region to explore commercial opportunities in and around the Humber, with proceedings kicking off in style at a glittering reception at The Deep. The evening event on Tuesday, November 17 will be hosted by Norway’s Deputy Ambassador to the UK, Mariam Naqvi.
During the day, delegates will attend site visits, starting at Catch in North Lincolnshire to gain a deeper understanding of the industry operating around the Humber, before splitting into two groups for tourism businesses north and south of the Humber. At Catch, there will be presentations by Phillips 66 and VPI and Viking CCS.
The first group will stay in Lincolnshire to visit RWE for lunch, then stop at Able UK, before returning to Hull in the evening, reports Hull Live.
The second group will travel to Saltend Chemicals Park, Ineos PX Group, and enjoy a guided tour of Hull Docks hosted by ABP, with selected guests also receiving an exclusive portside visit to Siemens Gamesa. The second day of the visit will see the Energetic Future 2026 Conference at the Doubletree by Hilton Hotel in Hull.
A series of energy-focused panel discussions will give industry leaders a platform to highlight the latest developments, opportunities and challenges facing the sector. Organizers at Hull and Humber Chamber of Commerce are now encouraging businesses to explore a range of sponsorship opportunities for the event.
Companies can also participate by attending conferences, developing international networks and establishing relationships with prospective investors.
Hull and Humber Chamber of Commerce is the collective ‘Voice of Business’, representing over 2,000 companies in the Humber sub-region. Its membership includes 76% of the top 100 companies in the sub-region with more than 250 employees, with the majority of members being small and medium-sized companies.
