President Donald Trump’s media ban is “not the American way,” MS NOW “The Brief” reporter Jim Acosta said Thursday.
“This is not just Trump taking away hard passes and press passes and things like that,” Acosta said. “This is an action by the far-right administration, by society at large, led by Donald Trump, to take over the news media in this country and basically have a system that’s like a national media. Not just deciding who gets to cover the White House, but that’s a piece of cake compared to what they want to do with the overall national news they let them let them have.”
He added, “This is not the American way. This is about the American way of life. Can we allow news organizations into federal government buildings where federal employees run the country, or can we not? To me, it’s completely un-American for Donald Trump to ban the media in this way and go after and attack the media in this way. This is not the American way.”
