Today, U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Brendan Hanrahan, Armenia’s Deputy Foreign Minister Vahan Kostanyan, and Azerbaijan’s Deputy Foreign Minister Ernur Mamedov established a trilateral technical planning group to advance the multimodal transit route “Trump International Routes for Peace and Prosperity” (TRIPP). This forum brings together policymakers and technical experts from our three countries to work together to contribute to the long-term stability, economic vitality, regional connectivity and business prosperity of the entire region, and underscores the landmark August 8, 2025 Peace Summit Declaration brokered by President Trump.
Reflecting a shared commitment to turning vision into practical progress, the two sides agreed to establish the first two trilateral planning groups, focusing on transport and power transmission. These technology planning groups represent a critical step in resolving complex technology issues and moving to the next phase of implementation, including connections to other regional infrastructure.
Both sides reiterated their commitment to the expeditious implementation of all modalities of TRIPP.
