MAGA Inc. turns Democrats’ favorite 2024 attack on Talarico

President Donald Trump’s super PAC is turning the topic of 2024 Democratic defeats to Texas Senate candidate James Talarico.

A new ad from MAGA Inc. describes Talarico as “very weird” because he claims Jesus was a “radical feminist” and claimed there were more than two genders. During the 2024 presidential election, Democrats used “bizarre” angles of attack to portray Trump and Vice President Vance as out of touch with Americans.

“James Talarico is weird, very weird,” the new ad says, before playing Talarico’s bizarre comments about Christianity and gender.

Talarico has previously claimed that “there are not just two biological sexes. In fact, there are six,” “Jesus Christ himself was a radical feminist,” “God is non-binary,” and “I have always considered myself a Christian who hates Christianity.”

“Six genders? Jesus a radical feminist? A Christian who hates Christianity? Liberal weirdo James Talarico. Too crazy for Texas,” the ad concludes.

In recent months, Talarico Trying to reshape his image to be more palatable to Texas voters. He claimed that some of his past comments “missed the point” and that he had abandoned many policy positions.

The “bizarre” ad echoes Trump’s attack on Talarico Trump in May.

“I’ll tell you what I think – I think the Democrats have a really weird candidate. Six genders, that’s a real knock on Jesus,” Trump said in May. “I think the Democratic candidate in Texas is a very flawed, very weak, very — I think he’s a pathetic candidate, especially for Texas.”

Trump-aligned MAGA Inc. has pledged at least $15 million to aid Attorney General Ken Paxton, who is voting against Talarico. Polls appear to show Democrats haven’t won statewide in decades, and the race is surprisingly tight in the state.

This “weird” line of attack will be familiar to voters. Democrats have repeatedly painted Vance as a crank during the 2024 presidential election. Vance responded to the criticism, saying it was “a projection of people who want to inject 9-year-olds with sex-change hormones and want to be biologically male and play women’s sports.”

Despite this line of attack, Trump and Vance won the popular vote in 2024, the first time since 2004 that they had captured the Republican vote.
