Persistent inflation has kept interest rates high, the 10-year Treasury yield is above 5% and staying there, and institutional equities are stuck on the sidelines.
At the local level, the industry is targeting the new left-wing mayor’s administration – which has promised to improve its approach to landlords – and watching the upcoming gubernatorial election.
But the last thing New Yorkers want to do is turn against New York. Therefore, despite the changes and increasing pressure, this year has been defined by the hiring of a new record office, groundbreaking skyline and potential solutions to the housing crisis.
Annual, Bisnow honoring a group of women for their excellence in leadership, innovation, influence and influence in the business capital of the world. Everyone has an important role to play in moving the market forward.
Women represent 26% of C-suite executives and 33% of board members at large commercial real estate companies, according to a Bisnow industry analysis. Despite being in the minority, this year’s honorees are strong dealmakers, important leaders and supportive mentors.
Many are also caring mothers, giving benefactors and dear friends.
The women were nominated by their peers in their respective fields in development, asset management, brokerage, capital markets, policy and more. A steering committee evaluates the nominations and selects the honorees.
This year’s steering committee includes RXR’s Whitney Arcaro, BGO’s Abbe Franchot Borok, Scotiabank’s Linda Foggie, Hunton Andrews Kurth’s Laurie Grasso and Harbor Group International’s Lesley Lisser.
