CHICAGO – Mondelez International has named Othmane Nadifi as managing director of its Gulf business in the Middle East region.
Previously, Nadifi was the business managing director of Mondelez Morocco from October 2020 to September 2026. In his new role, he will focus on sharpening commercial execution, driving innovation in the portfolio, and developing talent and capabilities, the Chicago-based snack and confectionery company said.
“The Gulf offers a significant opportunity for our snacks business, with the demand for a comfortable and premium experience, together with the expansion of digital commerce, creating new ways to reach consumers and meet their snacking needs,” said Ihab Amin, president of the Middle East, North Africa and Pakistan for Mondelez. “Othmane’s commercial insight and leadership experience will help us respond to these opportunities through relevant innovation and stronger execution in our markets.”
Mondelez noted that Nadifi brings more than two decades of leadership experience in the fast moving consumer goods arena. He started his career at Procter & Gamble in Morocco and Saudi Arabia and later became a leader in the PepsiCo and Reckitt Benckiser systems in the Maghreb region. From 2013 to 2020, he was the chief operating officer of Varun Beverages Morocco, PepsiCo’s bottling partner in Morocco.
“Our ambition is to build on the strength of our established business while identifying new opportunities across categories and channels,” said Nadifi. “We will continue to develop our brand, strengthen our partnerships with our customers and invest in our team’s capabilities.”
