Nicki Minaj urges Michiganders to vote for Republicans Mike Rogers and John James

PORT HURON, Miss. — Rap icon Nicki Minaj urged Michiganders to get out and vote for Michigan Republican Senate candidate Mike Rogers and gubernatorial candidate Rep. John James (R-MI) at a rally with President Donald Trump on Sunday.

Meena flew with Trump to the Wolverine State on Air Force One and joined him on stage toward the end of the rally at the packed McMoran Place Sports and Entertainment Center in Port Huron.

Trump invited her on stage toward the end of the nearly two-hour rally, calling her a “special person” and the “queen of rap.”

Mina shouted “We love Trump” at the beginning of her speech.

“You know, he represents resilience,” she said. “A lot of people may have given up a little bit, a little bit in despair, and since he’s come back, he’s changed the dynamic of our country and he’s given us a future to look forward to – a brighter future for us and our children,” Mina told the crowd.

She also led the crowd in chants of Rodgers and James before urging those watching the rally to support them at the ballot box.

“Michigan, God bless you. We really need all these great people elected because this is a major turning point in our country. When you’re in a major state like Michigan, we need him to be the leader of the movement that’s happening right now,” she said.

“We need this place to lead this movement, right? We’re not going to give up because we want our children to grow up in a place that we’re proud of,” she added.

“We don’t want our children to be bombarded with gender changes,” Mina declared.

“We want people to leave their children alone and leave them in trouble, right? So, President Trump, it’s been an honor to stand with you every time, and I will always, always support you. If you run again, I will support you again,” she said with a laugh.
