Nvidia Reshapes Communications Amid AI Boom and Departures

Nvidia’s communications organization has been reshaped as the company becomes the face of the AI boom, with multiple teams brought in under new leadership and a series of departures.

Business Insider identified approximately 15 communications employees who have left Nvidia since 2025, based on LinkedIn profiles and interviews with former employees.

The organization now employs about 70 to 80 people worldwide, and has doubled in size since Mylene Mangalindan joined as vice president of corporate communications in 2023, according to people close to the company.

Departures also include new hires. Anna Soellner, who was hired to lead corporate communications, is leaving after about four months, Business Insider previously reported.

Nvidia is known for high retention. It reported company-wide turnover of 3.7% in fiscal 2026, up from 2.5% the previous year, and lower than the tech industry average of 21.9% cited in its latest sustainability report.

Mangalindan succeeds longtime communications chief Bob Sherbin, who is retiring in 2024. He previously worked at advisory firm Brunswick Group.

He was brought in to “bring in fresh blood” and “upgrade the team” to meet Nvidia’s growing profile, the former employee said.

By the end of 2024, Nvidia is restructuring its communications organization. It brought the company’s public relations under Mangalindan’s leadership along with the company’s communications team he had led, according to two former employees.

Corporate communications focus on Nvidia’s reputation and major media outlets, while the company handles product and industry messaging, including for data center businesses.

One former employee said the consolidation reflected the importance of Nvidia’s data center business, which sells AI-powered chips and systems and has become its biggest revenue driver.

Analyst relations, social media, and influencer marketing also moved into Mangalindan’s responsibilities this year, another former employee said.

Three former employees said Nvidia’s communications team has long operated with a lean staff, even as workloads have increased in the company’s public profile, leaving staff with many responsibilities.

The employees said they experienced long hours, difficulty taking time, and pressure to respond to emails and Slack messages quickly.

People close to Nvidia say the lean workforce allows employees to move quickly while also requiring long hours. The person said Mangalindan encourages staff to take vacations, though the small size of the team can make scheduling breaks difficult, especially in the summer.

Nvidia is known for its demanding work environment. CEO Jensen Huang has emphasized operating at the “speed of light” and is known for fostering a culture of constant accountability.
