Shocking Reddit messages exposed a suspect’s alleged plot to have an online stranger rape his fiancée at their Arizona home with their two young children, court documents show.
Zarian Dyer, 23, was arrested Thursday and investigators accuse him of recruiting Adrian Ayala, 20, to attack his fiancee, Bella Torres, according to the Buckeye Police Department.
Ayala allegedly received a Reddit message on October 16 asking Torres if he would “participate” in the plan, to which Dell replied “no.”
According to court documents reviewed by NBC, Ayala was told: “You can’t tell her that I told you or that I sent you, you have to do it and I know if it’s too much.”
Ayala then asked what would happen if the twisted plan went awry, to which the user urged him to “run to your car and leave so we can pretend this didn’t happen.”
The alleged attacker initially said he had to “back off” because “he would feel uncomfortable if she didn’t get involved,” but another user countered, insisting “the more you threaten her, the more she will get involved…”
Around 5 p.m. that day, Ayala received an impatient message asking if he could “get here faster” because the user was trying to “pretend to kill time” at the grocery store.
Police said Ayala allegedly carried out the horrific attack at Torres’ home in Buckeye, about 30 miles outside Phoenix, around 6 p.m. while she was home with her two young children.
According to court records obtained by the Merced Sun-Star, Torres told police that minutes after her fiancé went to buy groceries, she noticed a “random man” sticking his head out of her front door.
Her 2-month-old son was sleeping in a bedroom with her 17-month-old daughter standing behind her when she confronted Ayala, who allegedly asked to use her bathroom.
Torres told investigators he then kicked the door open and “started grabbing her around the neck and choking her.”
Ayala trapped Torres in the bathroom and “began unsuccessfully trying to unbutton the victim’s pants” before groping her, the report said.
Refusing to back down, Torres managed to pull Ayala into the driveway and when he tried to put his weight on her, Torres slapped him and knocked him back.
During the fight, Ayala allegedly dropped a bombshell: “Your boyfriend told me you were going to be involved,” according to video obtained by NBC.
She then asked Dell’s name multiple times, but Ayala did not respond.
Ayala allegedly admitted to investigators that he struck a sinister pact to attack an unsuspecting Torres and then raided the house after contacting Dale online.
Detectives later seized Ayala’s electronic devices and allegedly discovered damning messages between him and Dale plotting the attack.
Dyer was charged with a series of charges, including aggravated assault, sexual abuse, attempted sexual assault, kidnapping and conspiracy.
Ayala was charged with kidnapping, sexual abuse, burglary and aggravated assault, court records show.
