Scoular, Grupo Trimex expands regenerative ag projects

OMAHA, NEB. – Scoular and Grupo Trimex, Mexico’s main flour milling company, have developed a joint regenerative agriculture pilot project into a regional program involving 35,000 hectares and 40 producers. The milestone is one of the highlights of Scoular’s annual sustainability report, released on 26 October.

In 2024, Scoular and Grupo Trimex are launching a regenerative agriculture project in Adrian, Mo., where Scoular operates a grain facility. The program started with 5,000 acres and 12 producers growing tender red winter wheat using regenerative practices.

Scoular and Grupo Trimex continue to expand the program to more farmers and acres, noting that “regenerative ag is becoming increasingly important as farmers seek to improve soil health and consumers seek more information about food.”

“This program has been built on the strong relationship Scoular maintains with farmers,” said Mar Gutiérrez, sustainability manager at Grupo Trimex.

The report shows how Scoular partners with producers, customers and communities to build a stronger, more sustainable foundation for the future, said Beth Stebbins, director of sustainability and producer strategy at Scoular.

“Scoular has made strides across our business, from expanding acres of regenerative agriculture and strengthening farmer relationships to creating growth opportunities for employees and maintaining our focus on safety every day,” said Stebbins.
