Secretary of State Marco Rubio spoke yesterday with Foreign Affairs Secretary Batseg Bathemonje. The two sides emphasized the importance of the U.S.-Mongolia strategic third neighbor partnership and pledged to work together to expand future areas of cooperation, including in the field of energy security. The Secretary thanked Mongolian Foreign Minister Bacetseg for his leadership role in suppressing the Haitian gang. The Secretary of State also called on Mongolia to continue to uphold religious freedom.
