Shares of Citigroup, Wells Fargo and Goldman Sachs fell nearly 2% each. Shares of JPMorgan Chase, Bank of America and Morgan Stanley were all down around 1%. Webull – Shares fell 20% after CNBC reported that a congressional panel found that Webull’s ties to the Chinese government posed a national security risk. NetApp – Shares rose 3%, compared to the broader market, after an upgrade to outperform from a line in Evercore ISI. NetApp has “risen without requiring significant contributions from products that are just starting to ramp,” Evercore said. Worthington Steel – Shares of the metals processing company fell 10% after earnings for the first quarter came in lower than the year-ago period. Worthington Steel earned 57 cents per share on an adjusted basis, compared with 77 cents a year earlier. The results of the period reflect the impact of the company’s acquisition of a majority interest in Klöckner & Co. Penguin Solutions — Shares of the artificial intelligence factory platform builder advanced 15% after fourth-quarter results beat expectations. Adjusted earnings came in at $1 per share on revenue of $566.7 million. Analysts polled by FactSet were looking for 77 cents per share and $521 million in revenue. Constellation Brands – Shares added 2% after the company reported better-than-expected results for its fiscal second quarter. The beer distributor earned $3.74 per share on revenue of $2.63 billion. Analysts polled by FactSet had expected earnings of $3.55 per share on revenue of $2.54 billion. Micron – Shares rose 3% Wednesday after DA Davidson said it expects the chipmaker to triple. “The AI model produces better results with more memory, runs faster with more memory, and has a longer context window with more memory.
