WASHINGTON — President Donald Trump delivered his closing remarks about the midterm elections at the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool on Monday, hours before voting began across the country.
Throughout the speech, Trump outlined what he believed was the stakes of the election and highlighted his administration’s accomplishments in the first 20 months.

“It’s never been like what we’re seeing: jihadists and Muslim Brotherhood members and people who don’t even believe what we’re seeing and all committed to the same radical agenda,” he added.
The president said the agenda includes “open borders, raising trillions of dollars in taxes, confiscating your guns, trans mutilating your children, abolishing oil and gas, causing energy costs to skyrocket, and opening the doors to millions of immigrants from around the world in the hope that they will vote.”
“We have struggled for 250 years before [America] Great. We’re not going to let it be destroyed by a group of people who fail everywhere because of what you call ideology, all kinds of ideologies, they fail every time,” he went on to add.
As for achievements, Trump touted borders, tax cuts, exports, low poverty rates, “$25 trillion in wealth created” and America’s status as the world’s largest oil producer.
“We haven’t had a single person come into our country illegally from the southern border in 17 months. Before that, 25 million people came in and they came from mental hospitals and prisons and they were drug dealers and they were very sick people in many ways,” the president said.
He then highlighted the benefits of “a beautiful bill,” which includes eliminating tips, overtime and Social Security taxes on certain seniors.

Trump said that if the MAGA coalition that voted in the presidential election can participate in the midterm elections, the Republican Party will win convincingly.
