President Donald Trump shared a video of Ben Shapiro’s weekend interview with Mark Levin, which begins with: Run and Hide Combat: HereticsThe Daily Wire’s latest action film, produced by Shapiro.
Levine began the interview by calling the film “terrific” and praising it for avoiding the political correctness that plagues nearly every film in Hollywood today. Levine also says in the film that he “highly recommends it” and calls it a “masterpiece,” before asking Shapiro to elaborate on why The Daily Wire made it.
“It’s interesting and raises a very important point,” Shapiro said. “I think it’s the only movie in the last twenty years that essentially tells the truth about what radical Islam actually does, but does it in a fun and interesting way.”
On Sunday morning, Trump posted the full clip to his 13 million followers on Truth Social, which also included discussions of Republican midterm strategy and the war with Iran. The president regularly watches cable news and is known to often post clips of news reports that he approves of after watching them.
Shapiro said a friend compared the film to a combination of both red dawn and Blazing Saddle. In the story, terrorists overrun a pro-Hamas student protest, seize an American university, and establish a “mini-caliphate” on campus. Jonathan Majors stars as Clay Saunders, a retired Delta Force operator who joins forces with a group of students to fight back.
“The point of this movie is that radical Islam is indeed a real threat, and the radical Muslims in the film behave like real radical Muslims,” Shapiro said, citing a widely circulated video in which terrorists threw a gay student from a rooftop. “This is what will happen if ISIS takes over an American campus. In fact, ‘Queer Palestinians’ will end up at the base of the building.”
Levine ended the interview by praising The Daily Telegraph for using entertainment to reach new audiences. Shapiro told the audience that this is the first entry in the company’s new entertainment strategy. “We have more to do,” he said.
Since first running for president, Trump has denounced “radical Islamic terrorism.”

Majors, who stars in the Marvel film “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantum of Madness,” told the New York Post last week that he saw the role as an opportunity to grow as an artist. Majors said his character had a huge responsibility in the film and he thought, “I’d love to play this part.”
