Ben Affleck has revealed that he is no longer focused on dating, two years after splitting from ex-wife Jennifer Lopez.
The Oscar winner was asked about his love life at the New York premiere of his new film “Animals” on Thursday, telling Entertainment Tonight that work and his three children come first.
“It’s not a lot of space. I’m not running around,” he said of the date. “It’s not the most important thing in my life.”
Affleck, 54, insists he is “fine and happy” as a single man.
“I know what my priorities are. You can’t have the two most important things in life at the same time,” he explains. “For me, it’s the kids. So that’s it. And then I have a job that I love.”
Affleck added, “I’m where I am, I’m great, and who knows what adventures life will bring. I’m open to it, but I’m not trying to chase anything.”
Earlier in the interview, reporter Kevin Frazier asked Affleck about Ana Navarro’s claim on Monday’s episode of “The View” that she tried to set the “Gone Girl” star up with Shakira after he and Lopez split in 2024.
“Honestly, I first heard that from people like you,” Affleck said, adding, “I’ve never heard that in my life. People gossip. Things are made up.”
Affleck insists: “I’m not going to be framed.”
The “Get Out” director shares parents Violet, 20, Seraphina, 17, and Samuel, 14, with ex-wife Jennifer Garner.
The “Daredevil” costars tied the knot in 2005 and separated ten years later. They divorced in 2018.
In 2022, Affleck married Lopez – to whom he was previously engaged in 2002 – but the two split within two years. Their divorce was finalized in January 2025.
Earlier this week, Navarro, 54, explained on “The View” how she allegedly tried to play matchmaker for Affleck.
“I was in Miami for a Shakira concert, and Matt Damon was there with his wife and daughters. Matt Damon and Ben Affleck are best friends,” Navarro said. “The news just broke that J.Lo and Ben Affleck split. Shakira also split from her husband.”
“Matt Damon said it might be complicated,” Navarro continued, referring to Lopez and Shakira’s friendship. “But enough time has passed now that I think Ben Affleck needs to give Shakira [a call]Shakira needs to give Ben Affleck [a call]”.
The last time Alfred talked about his love life was on “Jimmy Kimmel Live.” Last week, his children teased him about his dating history.
“They would talk about their friends and drama and their relationships,” Affleck said, explaining that when he tried to offer advice, one of his children said to the twice-divorced actor, “Oh, like you’re a relationship expert?”
In addition to Garner and Lopez, Afu’s famous exes also include actresses Gwyneth Paltrow, Ana de Armas, etc.
