WATCH: Trump announces eligible U.S. children will automatically be added to Trump accounts

President Donald Trump said Wednesday that 70 million children under the age of 18 will now have “Trump Accounts” automatically set up by the government to invest in stocks.

Parents and legal guardians will need to use the program’s website or mobile app to officially claim their account. Trump called the accounts a “passion of love” that promotes capitalism.

Trump says he has “no regrets at all” about endorsing Paxton in Texas Senate race

The president said Paxton was “a great attorney general” and thought he would make “a great senator.”

In a recent leak, Texas Attorney General Paxton said his campaign was in charge of Washington, not himself.

Trump’s support of Paxton helped him defeat incumbent Republican Sen. John Cornyn in the Republican primary. But Paxton is now locked in a close race with Democrat James Talarico — even in the nation’s largest reliably Republican state.

Asked if he now regretted supporting Paxton, Trump said Paxton was “the best attorney general in the country.”

Trump says it would be a ‘great shame’ for Nobel Peace Prize if he doesn’t win it

Before announcing the Nobel Peace Prize, Trump said he should receive the award from the Norwegian Nobel Committee, but “they have a reputation for probably not giving it to someone like me.”

Trump launched a war in Iran this year, and his achievements were considered worthy of a Nobel Prize. He also noted that the 2025 winner, Venezuelan María Corina Machado, presented him with the award.

“Whether I understand it or not, I’ve done more,” Trump said. “I think it would be a great shame for them if he wasn’t recognized.”

Trump says he could host presidential retreat at his West Palm Beach golf club

Trump said he would be willing to host a presidential retreat at the Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach, Florida, because “it seems like all presidents play golf.”

“It’s not for me,” Trump said. “This will apply to all future presidents.”

Trump said the location, near the public library, was ideal because it was close to the airport and there were no houses or “high-rise buildings” surrounding the green.

Trump says he wants Russia to share more information on possible plague cases

Asked whether Russia had shared enough information about the death of a lab worker in Siberia, Trump told reporters at the White House on Wednesday: “They’re sharing a little with our people. We want them to share a lot with our people.”

The president added that he “just met with our people” to discuss the situation. “We have talented experts,” Trump said. “They know everything that’s going on.”

Trump says he may cut ties with advisers over Balkans work during midterm elections

Trump said he would press two top political advisers over their outside consulting work as their efforts to help pro-Russian governments in the Balkans come under scrutiny.

The New York Times reported on Tuesday that advisers James Blair and Chris LaCivita were helping with local elections in Bosnia and Herzegovina’s Serb-majority Republika Srpska last week as Trump campaigned ahead of next month’s midterm elections.

“Chris LaCivetta and James Blair are outside counsel,” Trump wrote on his Truth social site. “They can work for others, just like all consultants in Washington, D.C.”

“I don’t know who else they work for, but on reflection I would ask them and if there was a conflict I would fire them immediately!” he wrote.

Blair served as White House deputy chief of staff before leaving to lead Trump’s external political operations. LaCivita is a co-manager of his winning 2024 campaign.

The two did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
