Bills’ Bradley Chubb tackled by teammates in heated postgame altercation with Rams

Bills captain Bradley Chubb had to stop a pursuit of at least one Ram after Buffalo’s blowout win on Monday night because he said a Los Angeles player “took a punch” at him.

In an exclusive interview with The California Post, Chubb said that just after the Bills defeated the Rams 37-34 in overtime at SoFi Stadium, someone from Los Angeles punched him as the team gathered at midfield.

“It was a close game,” Chubb told The Washington Post of the incident. “And, you know, they’re always going after the second guy, so I let him swing and my teammates stopped me and I just felt cold.”

Chubb wouldn’t say which Rams player he had the altercation with, explaining: “I’m not obligated to tell anyone. There are cameras out there. I just know I’m ready for next week.”

Live video captured by ESPN cameras showed Rams offensive lineman Alaric Jackson punching Chubb in the face during an altercation. Further footage showed Chubb yelling at someone and walking in their direction before injured Rams pass rusher Myles Garrett stopped him. Several of Chubb’s teammates were also seen pulling the Buffalo star away from the area.

Still, Chubb tried to chase the Rams player, but after exchanging a few words with Los Angeles tight end Colby Parkinson, he eventually turned away.

Chubb declined to say whether the punch landed, but he confirmed he was not injured.

“Look at me smiling,” he said. “I’m with my team. I’m taking turns. We’re ready for next week.”
