Céline Dion just took her stage look to new heights.
For her final residency in 2026, Dion wore a dazzling couture outfit that echoed her 1997 Oscars red carpet look.
The look was custom-made by Matthieu Blazy for Chanel and featured a strapless sweetheart neckline and a bodice-structured top. The waist is cinched and the hips are flared out, ending in a silk skirt with a high slit in the front.
The gown – studded with glass crystal rhinestones, seed beads and glass beads – is tightly wrapped at the top and tapers at the hips like falling stars in the night sky.
According to Vogue, the gown was set with 6,000 jewels and 5,000 beads and required 1,380 hours of work by the in-house couturier.
The neckline is also trimmed in navy raffia and constructed with a wire-like texture.
Dion, 58, even redesigned her necklace, wearing Chanel’s diamond and white gold Fil de Comète necklace with a shooting star design on the front.
This recreated comet necklace features 1,080 diamonds totaling over 67 carats.
In 1997, Dion wore a look similar to Karl Lagerfeld’s, designed by Chanel, but this bodycon dress featured a plunging neckline.
It was that night in 1997 that Dion made history by becoming the first artist to perform not one but two songs at an awards show. She had originally prepared “Because You Love Me,” but pulled double duty at the last minute after Natalie Cole fell ill.
Dion has two final shows this weekend — Friday and Saturday nights — before taking a hiatus until May.
