Police are searching for three men they say attacked a woman riding her bicycle in Central Park on Sunday night.
Police said three people approached the 32-year-old woman near West 93rd Street and Western Avenue around 10 p.m. and struck her in the head.
She said she fought back, was punched twice, and then one of the suspects snatched her bag, which contained her watch and headphones, and told others to book it.
They ran toward Columbus Avenue.
The victim suffered minor injuries to his face, neck and back but refused medical attention at the scene, authorities said. In those first few minutes, she said, she thought about her loved ones.
“They hit me and I just felt it and the first thought in my head was, my family, my mom, this is my life. So I fought back,” the woman said.
Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
