French mayor calls for discussion of ‘Great Replacement’ to become a crime

One of France’s leading left-wing mayors has called on the government to ban public debate on the “Great Replacement” that could turn much of the local population into thought criminals.

Ari Rabe, the Moroccan mayor of the multicultural Paris suburb of Trappes, blamed so-called “far-right elements” for the shootings in the city earlier this month, claiming that discussion around the “Great Replacement” had radicalized the suspected gunman, who was allegedly seeking revenge against ethnic and religious minorities for rioting and looting last month that left one person dead and five injured.

Mayor Rabe reportedly said on Friday’s Inter Milan show in France sunday dailythe Freedom of the Press Act 1881 could be amended to include penalties for “those who, by reason of their origin, religion, nationality or so-called race, identify a group of persons as actors in a process of substitution”.

“I think the law needs to be strengthened,” he said, claiming that “provisions to prevent incitement to racial hatred” were “insufficient”.

The term was originally coined by French philosopher Reno Camus, who argued that elites in Western societies viewed their citizens as interchangeable economic units that could be replaced with cheaper immigrant labor with little consequence.

Mayor Rabe singled out presidential candidate Eric Zemour, complaining that despite his conviction for inciting racial hatred, he “is still invited to appear on almost every talk show to express his hatred and viciousness without any threat other than a fine, which is insignificant to him.”

Zemur, a leading proponent of re-immigration in the country, responded: “The Gulag is advancing. This is their plan for a socialist Islamic republic.”

The proposal has also been criticized by the president of the national assembly, Jordan Bardella, who is currently the favorite to become the next French prime minister. He said the move would “criminalize the feelings of at least 60% of French people as they observe ‘a profound demographic shift.'” Unless, of course, it’s for celebration. “

Indeed, a survey earlier this year by the French Institute of Public Opinion (Ifop) found that six in 10 French people believed that the French were “gradually replaced by non-European populations, mainly from the African continent”.

Of those who agreed, 66% said it was entirely a bad thing, compared with 21% who were neutral and 9% who said it was a good thing.

A September report by the Paris-based Observatory on Immigration and Demography (OID) found that if immigration levels continue at their current pace, France’s native population – defined only as those whose grandparents were born in the country – will become a minority in the country by around 2050.

Furthermore, the report predicts that if immigration remains stable, people of non-European ancestry will become the majority by the mid-2070s.

Unlike other Western countries, the “Great Replacement” has also been promoted by the far left. Instead of dismissing it as a so-called conspiracy theory, they claimed that it was a good thing.

In fact, presidential candidate Jean-Luc Mélenchon, leader of the far-left French rebel party (France in Rebellion/LFI), welcomed the Great Replacement and the formation of a “new France”. Mélenchon, who often complained about the “ugliness” of white France, had previously admit The far left cannot rely on the rural white working class to support socialism.

Others in the party have embraced the concept, including MP Clémence Guetté, who in June boasted that efforts to protect native whites had failed, declaring in the National Assembly: “You have lost the battle of racist ideologies. Today, a third of French people are linked to immigration.”
