Jordan Hudson appears to have skipped UNC-Miami thriller after Bill Belichick split

Bill Belichick’s North Carolina team is coming so close Beating the No. 1 team in the country.

But there seems to be one notable absence in Chapel Hill.

Jordon Hudson did not appear to play in the Tar Heels’ 38-35 loss, or at least not in the game broadcast or in the photos inside Kenan Memorial Stadium.

TMZ first reported on Friday night that Hudson, 25, and Belichick, 74, are no longer dating and actually ended their relationship sometime last year.

A source told TMZ and People that despite their split, Hudson and Belichick are “committed to their business partnership and remain close friends.”

Two media outlets also reported that Hudson was dating someone else.

Although the couple reportedly ended their relationship last year, Hudson and Belichick held hands at the 2026 Kentucky Derby in May. Hudson has appeared in several North Carolina football games this season, including the Tar Heels’ road win over rival Duke two weeks ago in Durham.

The two walked off the court together, smiling broadly.

The reported breakup was apparently news to two UNC staffers, who told USA TODAY Friday night they had no idea the relationship was over.

Unranked North Carolina held its own against the Hurricanes and held leads in the third and fourth quarters.

After trailing by 10 points in the final minutes of the fourth quarter, UNC cut the deficit to three but hit two free throws on an attempted onside kick and failed to recover on its third attempt. Belichick’s teams fell to 4-4 and 2-3 in ACC play.
