Russia sent its first diesel tanker to the US at a price close to $6 per gallon

The first tanker with 40,000 tons of diesel left for New York from Russia earlier this week following President Donald Trump’s deal with Russian President Vladimir Putin to release millions of tons of diesel into the global supply, Fox News has reported.

This is because diesel has taken over $6 per gallon in the US

“The first oil tanker has flown to the customer, and regular supplies will continue,” Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Friday.

After the deal earlier this month, Trump also lifted most of the sanctions against Russia and those who buy fuel from that country under the Graham Act, which was supported by the late Senator Lindsey Graham.

However, retired Marine Corps Major General Arnold Punaro told Fox News that 40,000 tons would only provide “a couple of hours” of diesel.

“Look, lowering fuel prices is a legitimate and necessary policy goal,” said John Roberts in “American Report.” “The president has some positive initiatives in this regard. However, I do not think of lifting sanctions on Russia and buying diesel fuel from Russia and fuel for war machines, which yesterday was just another massive ballistic missile attack in Kyiv, killing women and children, knocking out the energy grid, so that Ukrainians will freeze, so my hope is that they will change their minds, become another tank. different direction.”

Punaro said Putin’s goal was to recapture the region from the Soviet Union.

“He will not stop with Ukraine. That is why we must stop him in Ukraine,” he said.

In the October 9 agreement between the US and the Kremlin, Putin agreed to “immediately supply more than 300,000 Tons of Diesel Fuel to the American and Global Market, another 500,000 Tons during the month of November, and 1,000,000 Tons immediately after that,” Trump said.

Trump said the agreement came after the two had “highly successful negotiations.”
