Sweet Loren launches refrigerated cookie dough

NEW YORK — Sweet Loren’s has launched a chilled, crispy cookie dough, bringing the “first crunch” to the refrigerated dough aisle, the company said.

Divided refrigerated dough can be baked in a conventional oven or toaster oven, whether it’s one cookie or a whole tray, says Sweet Loren. Both types of dough contain 100 calories per serving in addition to being non-GMO, certified gluten-free, dairy-free and free of nine major food allergens.

The new dough varieties include chocolate chunks, a thin, crispy cookie filled with rich chocolate chunks, and double chocolate, an “extremely chocolatey” cookie with a chocolate flavor and soft crunch, Sweet Loren said.

“We have always believed that better baking means that you don’t have to choose between amazing flavors and ingredients that you feel good about,” said Loren Castle, founder and CEO of Sweet Loren’s. “Thin and crispy brings something completely different to the refrigerated dough aisle – light, satisfying crunch from edge to edge, with the convenience and reliable ingredients that people expect from Sweet Loren’s. We are excited to open in Whole Foods Market and give cookie lovers another delicious reason to rethink whether ready to bake dough is possible.”

Sweet Loren’s thin, crispy cookie dough will be available at Whole Foods Market stores in October.
