President Donald Trump has offered the position of White House press secretary to Katie Zacharia, a senior communications adviser at the tech company behind Truth Social who frequently appears on cable news, a White House official confirmed to Business Insider.
If Zakaria accepts the job, she will fill the position previously held by Caroline Leavitt, who resigned from the job in August to spend more time with her young children.
Zakaria did not immediately respond to Business Insider’s request for comment.

Zacharia serves as a senior communications advisor at Trump Media and Technology Group, which operates Truth Social.
Zakaria previously served as spokesperson for former Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem at the Department of Homeland Security and as a commentator on Fox News and Newsmax.
Her LinkedIn profile also shows that she served as general counsel for the conservative nonprofit Fix California and served as a White House intern in 2006 during President George W. Bush’s second term.

Zakaria earned a bachelor’s degree in political science and government from Pepperdine University and a law degree from Pepperdine Caruso School of Law, according to her LinkedIn message.
Who is Katie Zakaria’s husband?
Zachariah is married to filmmaker Tyler Zachariah, who has worked with Angel Studios, a production company that specializes in faith-based films, on films such as “Young Washington” and “David.” According to his IMDb page, he also served as an executive producer on the 2019 film “The Irishman” starring Robert De Niro and Al Pacino.
