Trump blasts Bill Maher as ‘total loser’ in 1,300-word Truth Social post

President Trump called Bill Maher a “total loser” and “a scoundrel” in a 1,300-word Truth Social tirade and claimed the comic “looked like hell” during their recent dinner.

Trump lashed out at the 70-year-old “Real Time” host after she claimed on Friday that the president “has the lowest approval rating of any midterm candidate ever” and tried to joke that his four-hour dinner with Trump on Oct. 15 was longer than Katie Zakaria’s time as press secretary.

“Let’s talk about this complete loser, Bill Maher. He had a low-rated show on the same low-rated HBO, which used to be a network of quality and excitement a long time ago – all gone. It wasn’t “hot” anymore! According to Factbase, Trump began a 1,322-minute tirade on Sunday.

Trump then attacked producer Chuck LaBella, who worked with Maher on his former ABC show “Politically Incorrect.”

Trump said: “Mach’s friend and business partner Chuck LaBella, who was also a friend of mine, worked as a “walk-on” on the hit show “The Apprentice.” Due to the success of the show, which was ranked No. 1 and highest-rated for many weeks, with “The Finale” being among the best shows of the year, he and others associated with this historic “event” were automatically included.

“The success of ‘The Apprentice’ was so great that everyone was on board – it built so many careers, which is a wonderful thing. Some people say it even built my career because I became president (I would have won without it!).”

Trump then claimed that LaBella would call him to convey “how much Bill Maher ‘loved’ and respected me and would constantly ask me about any kind of meeting with Maher even before I was president.”

“When I became president, I agreed to meet after the first and last meeting, but never agreed to do his show, which he wanted me to do, desperately – it’s not going to happen!” Trump said before claiming Maher’s show “ended with dishonesty.”

Trump later rebuked Maher for claiming the president “has the lowest approval rating of any midterm candidate ever,” claiming the cartoon cited “fake polls.”

“My approval ratings are high, and more importantly, he says I’m losing support and approval from the Republican Party, when in fact, a CNN poll just came out showing my approval ratings within the Republican Party at 98% and 99%, an all-time high. Ronald Reagan’s approval rating is 86%,” Trump wrote.

“CNN’s Harry Enten also called me ‘the most influential president of the last century.'”

“CNN did another poll, who was the most popular figure in the history of the Republican Party, and I won, too, and I was at 53 percent, Ronald Reagan was at 18 percent, Abraham Lincoln was at 8 percent, and those were CNN polls, and people didn’t exactly love me. So, Bill Maher lied, but he lied about everything, and I believe he lied to me when I asked him, and after he did almost everything, he got applause and laughter.

Trump’s diatribe then turned to two previous dinners that Maher had attended. On March 31, 2025, Trump, Maher, Kid Rock and UFC President Dana White had dinner at the White House. Subsequently, Maher, Trump and Stephen A. Smith had dinner at the White House on October 15.

The president claimed that LaBella and Locke called him “constantly” about meetings with Maher – whom he initially dismissed as a “goofball”.

“They said, ‘He wants to go to the White House, be with you, talk. He says you’re smart, but you don’t like the Liberal platform. Are you going to start thinking about it?’

Trump claimed that Maher “invited himself” to the White House and said the comedian was “very nervous” during their first meeting.

“He wanted a drink. He was very insecure and his eyes and nose area were badly bruised, as if someone had just punched him – but it wasn’t me!”

Trump claimed he received 10 calls from LaBella – whom he again called a “runner” – hoping to arrange a second meeting.

“It seems like these guys are serious and want to know more, because their policies are so bad, so ridiculous!” Trump said.

Trump claimed he wanted to warn Maher that the comic was a “big addict” and “very bad for his health.”

“He looks like hell this time,” Trump said. “Bill walked through the White House drunk, with a drink in his hand,” he said of the dinner with Kidd Rock and Stephen A. Smith.

“Overall, I thought it was a good meeting. It didn’t last four hours, it lasted two hours, or even less, and everybody was happy,” Trump said, questioning Maher’s account.

“We had timestamps. I learned nothing and felt it was a waste of time. After the first dinner, Bill Maher was friendly and, I guess, everyone left happy. He gave me a great first show, with a lot of laugh-machine laughs, which is a real term, but that’s what it is, and then went back to his old self, and his old ways.” I understand that. “

Trump said the comedian “is not a good guy” and is someone who “has to cater to his base, which is largely made up of losers.”

“That’s why, for so long, I didn’t get another call from Chuck LaBella, and I didn’t miss him at all. After the second dinner, Bill’s ‘act’ was much worse than the first. He was crazy! He was gutless because he enjoyed every minute.”

Comic asks in interview with Carolyn Leavitt: ‘So I understand now,’ Trump slams Maher [Trump] Want to get rid of the White House press pool and turn it into a real swimming pool? “

Trump clarified: “I will not build a swimming pool in the White House briefing room and have never had any intention to do so.”

“I’m thinking about moving the presses and putting them in a different location, but I’ll use that location for much needed space.”

Trump lashed out at Maher for attacking “our great Republican candidate,” then praised Leavitt for coming out.

“Caroline Levitt did a great job on the show, but she started off with a biased, stupid thief asking questions. She defended me and herself well, but felt uncomfortable going against her on lie after lie,” Trump wrote.

“What matters is that Bill lied to all the illegal voters in radically controlled, dilapidated, devastated California.

“They’ve found 20,000 in the last few days alone, and that number could easily be over 1,000,000. Bill has told many other lies, but I won’t waste my time checking his facts. He doesn’t deserve it.”

He then urged Maher and LaBella to stop talking on the phone, before claiming the comedian used a machine to bring laughter to his jokes.

“You are also a coward for being too afraid to tell the truth about how well our country is run because of your few ‘fans’, and how badly the Democrats are doing and nearly destroying America. If I don’t win the election, it will die!” Trump said.

“Also, get rid of your jokes, when they laugh uncontrollably, it’s a joke, even if you didn’t say anything funny, I’ll tell the Republicans to stop covering you up because they’re trying to talk about you being a transformative person. You’re not transformative, you’re a loser!

“I have never watched your show, but I will never watch it again because it is nothing but fake news that America and the world unfortunately suffers from.”

Trump signed off the record-breaking post in his traditional style: “Thank you for your interest in this matter.”

The Factba.se platform later confirmed that the 1,300-word post was Trump’s “longest post among the 97,455 cumulative social media posts since 2011.”

That’s about 600 words longer than Trump’s second-longest social media post, from September 30, in which he praised South Korea for launching $200 billion worth of new investments in the United States.

Maher has yet to respond to Trump’s article. But during his monologue, the comedian declared, “Yeah, I did it again, bitches,” referring to his dinner with the president.

Trump condemned sharks two days after telling White House reporters the dinner was “great.”

“It was an informative dinner,” he said. “Smart man.”

“Stephen A. was great. Bill Maher — I tell you. He liked me more than people realize, and I really liked him. It was a great dinner.”
