Heidi Klum underwent a gory transformation into a giant, gruesome severed hand at her annual Halloween party in New York City on Saturday, 25 years after she began hosting the highly-anticipated event.
Krum was unrecognizable, with only his eyes and mouth exposed. When he stuck out his tongue, blood dripped from his mouth. The top of the hand is an assortment of dangling bloody ligaments and tendons. She has a team of assistants wearing blood-stained hazmat suits.
Last year, she came up with the idea of becoming a giant hand – specifically her own left hand, complete with long red nails, thumb ring, and her engagement and wedding rings.
“I looked at my hands and I thought, ‘Hey, I think I can get my body into this somehow,'” Klum said.

The supermodel-turned-TV personality went viral in 2022 when she arrived at a party wearing a wriggling worm costume and holding a fishing line.
Over the past few years, Klum has dressed up as Medusa from Greek mythology, a peacock, an 8-foot-tall (2.4-meter-tall) “Transformer,” a werewolf from Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” music video, a clone accompanied by several Klum lookalikes, and Kali, the multi-armed Hindu goddess of death and destruction.
Crumb said it took her about five to six hours to put on her handmade garments this year, but it took longer to make. She dropped some hints earlier in the day on her Instagram, where she had a bloodied prosthetic attached to her face.
“Without a doubt, the hardest thing was carrying it,” Krum said. “Pretty heavy.”
Her husband, musician Tom Kaulitz, is not attending this year because he is on tour. But details on her outfit include his name tattooed on her ring finger, as well as the lines and veins on her palms.
“I have a little bit of Tom in me,” she said.
