YouTuber Ethan Klein has been fired from “H3 Podcasts” after his wife and co-host Hila Klein accused him of having an affair.
“I’m living a nightmare that I can’t wake up from,” Sheila wrote on Instagram late Thursday. “My husband was having an affair. I’ve been fed lie after lie for months. This is the truth.”
Hella explained that she was skeptical of Ethan, but when she questioned him about her “concerns and hurt feelings,” she “received a dismissive response and no action.”
However, Hella said she “trusted” her husband, whom she married in 2012 with whom she had three sons, so she “stopped questioning him” and instead “started questioning myself, my own gut. My sanity.”
“Eventually, he was caught lying and I knew I was screwed,” Hella wrote, noting that Ethan continued to lie to her about details of his relationship with another woman.
But after Hella “dragged the lies” out of Ethan, he finally admitted he had been having an affair for more than six months, although Hella said she was still in the dark about the true “extent” of the affair.
“The betrayal I feel is immeasurable,” Hela told her followers. “The man I loved and trusted for 20 years disappeared overnight. He was my safe haven, my partner in marriage, parenting and career. My only family on this side of the world. How do I begin to understand this?”
Hella admitted she wasn’t sure “what’s next” for her, adding that she was “in survival mode trying to cope with separation, co-parenting and unimaginable heartbreak.”
“All I can do now is focus on taking care of myself and my kids, one day at a time,” she continued. “You’re not crazy. Trust your instincts. Trust yourself. If you’re not being treated right, get up and leave.”
The “H3 Podcast” crew issued a statement confirming Ethan’s dismissal and expressing support for Hela.
“We stand with Hella and will support her every step of the way,” the statement read. “We are disgusted by Ethan’s actions and the harm he has caused. We all deserve better: Hella, us, and you.”
The podcast team said they were “shocked, angry and heartbroken by the incident with Ethan” and confirmed they decided to cut ties with him “once they became aware” of his behavior.
“We don’t know yet what this means for the future,” the podcaster continued. “There is still a lot of work to be done and we hope to provide you with more answers.”
